Your Legacy - A Future Free from Abuse
Leaving a gift in your Will is a powerful and lasting way to support a future where children are safe from sexual abuse. By including The Grace Tame Foundation in your Will, you join a dedicated group of supporters committed to protecting the rights and futures of children across Australia.
Once you’ve made your decision, we encourage you to discuss your wishes with your loved ones and consult your solicitor to ensure your intentions are accurately documented.
We would be grateful if you shared your intentions with us as it allows us to personally thank you, keep you informed about the life-changing impact of gifts like yours, and acknowledge your generosity in a way that feels right to you.
Guidance on Leaving a Legacy Gift
Your solicitor can advise you on the most appropriate way to include The Grace Tame Foundation in your Will. This may involve writing your Will or updating your existing Will. You may find the suggested wording below helpful.
Residual Legacy Gift
A residual gift refers to the portion of your estate that remains after all other bequests and obligations have been fulfilled. This type of gift is often expressed as a percentage and allows you to care for your loved ones while also supporting causes close to your heart.
Because residual gifts adjust in value with your estate, they are not diminished by inflation, ensuring that your legacy retains its intended impact over time.
What is a Pecuniary Legacy Gift
A pecuniary gift involves leaving a specific sum of money in your Will. Please note that the value of pecuniary gifts may decrease over time due to inflation.
Gifts of Property, Shares or Other Assets
You may also choose to leave a non-monetary gift, such as real estate, shares, bonds, or a life insurance policy.
Suggested Wording for a Residual Gift
“I give …% (percent) of the residue of my estate to The Grace Tame Foundation Limited (ABN: 61 650 363 689) for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer, CEO, or other authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”

Adding a Codicil to Your Existing Will
If you already have a Will and wish to include a gift to The Grace Tame Foundation, you can do so by adding a codicil. This simple legal document allows you to update your Will without rewriting it entirely. We strongly recommend consulting your solicitor to ensure your wishes are clearly expressed and legally upheld.
